Surfing is at the very heart of Cornish culture; it is perhaps the purest form of
watersport and a great way to experience the ocean. We offer lessons for all levels of
experience, from total beginners to those wishing to build on existing skills.
Watergate Bay is an excellent place to learn to surf – consistent waves and plenty of
space provide the ideal conditions for beginners. Our instructors are all talented surfers
themselves and all hold surf lifesaving qualifications; safety is their key concern.
Lessons are devised to ensure that each student learns at their own pace; many
students are able to stand and ride a wave to the beach at the end of their first lesson.
